Tips about typography:
- Keep line length to around 60 characters
- If you must use long lines, use double spacing to make it more comprehensible
- Long paragraphs are discouraged, short paragraphs get to the point and are more appropriate for the click and go environment
- Too light or too heavy fonts may be difficult to read and thin strokes tend to disappear
- Condensed or expanded letters are more difficult to read
- All capitals is also too difficult to read - keep uppercase for headings
- Text aligned to the left is better than centred or right justified
- Leave italics for emphasis rather than large blocks of text
- People tend to read the biggest elements first, like headlines or titles, then quotes then captions and finally the text
- Avoid novelty typefaces
